With a long history of 100 years, Dihgley Hospital has good medical ethics and superb technology. After more than 120 years of sustainable development and historical precipitation, Wenzhou Central Hospital has cultivated generations of excellent doctors for the society.
Wenzhou Central Hospital undertakes undergraduate and postgraduate in-school education, post-graduation medical education, continuing medical education and trainee physician training. In 2008, it became Dihgley Clinical College of Wenzhou Medical College, and in 2011, it became one of the first batch of Zhejiang Province's new model resident training bases, and in 2014, it became one of the first batch of national standardized training bases for resident physicians. It has served as Wenzhou test center of clinical skill evaluation for Zhejiang Province's resident physicians’ standardized training for 10 consecutive years. Meanwhile, it is American Heart Association ----AHA training center. There are 12 Western medicine resident training bases: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Emergency, Neurology, Otolaryngology, Anesthesiology, Clinical Pathology, Stomatology, General Practice (Assistant General Practice), Radiology Imaging, Ultrasonic Medicine and so on.
The hospital has a strong faculty and abundant training resources. We promote a standardized hierarchical progressive teaching model, establish strict faculty selection and dynamic management, set up a one-on-one resident training mentor system, and pursue high-quality teaching and learning activities. Our goal is to cultivate job-competent resident physicians and future elite doctors. We have successively become a joint training base for master's and doctoral programs of Wenzhou Medical University, Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shanghai University. We currently have 1 doctoral supervisor and 18 master's supervisors. The college attaches great importance to postgraduate students' ideological and political education and safety education, being responsible for the daily management of postgraduates as well as the management of supervisors.
Clinical Skill Center covers a total area of more than 1,760 square meters, including basic skill training room, comprehensive skill training room, AHA training center, and minimally invasive surgery training center. It is open to all faculty and staff, including medical undergraduates, graduate students, resident physicians and specialists. This center provides hospitals with multidisciplinary skill training and OSCE test station, basic and advanced life support training (BLS, ACLS) accredited by American Heart Association (AHA), minimally invasive surgical skill training, clinical thinking training, and medical treatment combination unit training. The Center has more than 100 basic simulation teaching equipment and integrated emergency simulators with physiological drive function, laparoscopic simulation box, multidisciplinary minimally invasive skill training system, high simulation lying-in woman skill training system, basic life support simulators, clinical thinking training system, trauma first-aid model, virtual laparoscope and virtual ultrasonic system, and surgical live streaming system.
